A Hickman County woman accused of killing her adopted daughter is in jail.
Pamela Brown, 64, is being charged with criminal homicide.
Brown allegedly shot her adult daughter, 41-year-old Kimberly Taylor, with a pistol during an argument.
Sheriff Randall Ward said the argument apparently centered on the topic of moving Brown's husband, who has dementia.
The shooting was reported about 3 p.m. Wednesday on the 9100 block of Buck Litton Road in Lyles.
Ward said deputies responded to the residence on a report of a domestic disturbance and found a woman fatally shot. Four other people were said to have been inside the trailer during the shooting, but no other injuries were reported.
