Three THP officers were injured in the pursuit of a reckless driver Friday night.
Troopers attempted to stop a Ford F250 at a sobriety checkpoint on Highway 431 southbound in Springfield.
The driver, Gregory Hill, put the truck into reverse, striking the vehicle behind him.
According to THP, Hill then drove through the checkpoint in the direction of a Trooper.
While trying to avoid the truck, the Trooper ran across the roadway and was struck by a THP patrol car.
The Trooper was treated for minor injuries.
Hill lead THP officials on a chase into Nashville on I-24 eastbound.
He was slowed by spike strips, laid by Metro Police at the Briley Parkway exit.
Hill struck a THP patrol car before exiting the truck.
Officials say he then slid across the hood of the patrol car he damaged and fled on foot.
A Trooper pursued Hill. He jumped eight feet down into a concrete culvert weather drain and caught up with the suspect.
A THP Sergeant arrived as backup while the Trooper tried to restrain Hill.
During the arrest, the Trooper suffered a sprained ankle and the Sergeant sprained his knee.
Hill was taken to the Nashville Metro Davidson County Justice Center.
Officials say charges are still pending because the investigation is ongoing.
