Sounds manager gets promoted

Posted: Updated:

The Milwaukee Brewers today announced that Mike Guerrero, who managed the Nashville Sounds during the past two seasons, will join the Brewers major league staff as a coach in 2014. He will assist Garth Iorg with infield instruction and be assigned other responsibilities by manager Ron Roenicke.

"Mike Guerrero is being rewarded for the loyalty and hard work that he has provided the Brewers' minor-league organization for many years," said Brewers President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Doug Melvin. "With the majority of his baseball career spent with the Brewers, Mike has touched and assisted in the development of a large number of past and present players."
