MUMBAI, India, September 27, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
The job isn't done just with the creation of a brilliant product. That's where it begins. Housing has radically changed online house hunting, for the Indian market. It's a powerful tool that makes home search hassle free. But there's more. The startup of 12 IIT B graduates is strongly committed to user experience, and keeps innovating to provide the most awesome house hunting experience.
In what could be the biggest domain deal of the year worldwide, Housing has acquired Housing.com, says founder, Advitiya Sharma: "We have been getting a lot of traction from prospective partners from other countries. And they are more than willing to invest in their countries initiative."
At Housing, the vision has always been to build a product of international standard, and .COM is the first step. In making this shift, Housing has clearly come into its own and seeks to push forward. The 1 year old startup already operates in 10 major cities in India and maintains a strong foothold in the market.
The .COM deal was closed at around $500k, and more investments in this direction are expected.
We expect to hit our first international expansion within the next 6 months.
