Good Tuesday. Get the grass seed ready. Some good showers are on the way.
Our basic weather setup is this. A stationary front is draped over the Gulf Coast. It is common for impulses of low pressure to develop and move along boundaries like this from west to east. We will see an area of low pressure developing and moving south of our area, but it will shoot moisture into the area, and provide us with clouds today and rain tomorrow.
For today, clouds will be on the increase with only a slight chance for a sprinkle or two. Highs will be near 80. Tonight, we may see a few more showers moving in, but most of the rain will hold off until tomorrow.
The rain will become fairly widespread by your commute tomorrow morning, and then you can expect on and off showers with brief periods of heavy rain through the day. Widespread we can look for about an inch of rain with locally higher amounts.
By tomorrow evening, the rainfall will taper off as the low moves east, away from the area. Skies will clear, and we should have great weather with highs in the low 80s for the rest of the week and the weekend.
