FAA new rule concerning e-devices

Travelers who hate stowing away their E-readers and tablets during takeoff and landing might get some relief in 2014.
The Federal Aviation Administration Advisory panel is expected  to recommend eased restrictions on use of electronic devices onboard airplanes.
New rules will likely allow reading E-books, listening to podcasts and watching videos.
The ban on making phone calls, sending or receiving e-mails or text messages is expected to remain in place.
The panel will meet by the end of the week, new guidelines will come into effect some time next year.
