SHELBYVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has made an arrest in connection to a homicide in Shelbyville that happened over the weekend.

Charges are pending against 46-year-old Ronnie Dewayne Osler of Jackson, TN, for criminal homicide and violating probation. Other charges against Osler are pending.

Osler was found at the Imperial Motel in Murfreesboro and was arrested without incident.

Investigators say 23-year-old Cody Minnick was found dead inside a home on Vandy Lane on Saturday just before 2 p.m.

According to autopsy results, Minnick died from blunt force trauma to the head.

Officials say Osler had been living at the home and was immediately identified as a suspect.

Investigators say they believe Osler and Minnick got into an argument at the home over money.

Minnick's red 1995 Chevrolet Suburban was also missing from the home but was found in Murfreesboro.

Osler was booked into the Bedford County Jail without bond and is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 8.
