NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A well-known NASCAR driver and his team will be paying tribute to a local soldier at this weekend's race.

Spc. Cody James Moore will be honored on the No. 78 Furniture Row car driven by Kurt Busch.

"My son's going to be moving at 200 mph this weekend," said father David Moore.

A decal with Cody Moore's picture will be amongst the logos on the car as it makes its laps Sunday at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series SYLVANIA 300.

"You can probably ask any Gold Star parent, and the thing we fear the most is people forgetting about them," David Moore said.

Cody Moore was a third-generation soldier and served one tour in Afghanistan.

He died a year ago after suffering from PTSD.

After the race, the decal will be signed by Busch and sent to Cody Moore's family to keep.
