Daneen Kowall, stepmother, "I can live everyday without crying, but when you talk about it, it's just."

Daneen Kowall lets us in on the moment her world turned upside down, "Just immediately our lives changed."

Her step-son Devin was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, an aggressive bone cancer.

Doctors say they can't stop it from spreading.

Doreen Harris, aunt, "It can happen to you, and it can happen to your family. It can happen to your child."

Doreen Harris says she remembers the exact day her sister came to her with the news, "I remember her saying, don't hug me, just let me say what I have to say."

But as we talked to this family something hopeful came to life a Facebook page called Devin's dreams.

It's an online bucket list and the community has opened its heart.

Daneen Kowall, stepmother, "They're giving him what we can't."

Fire Chief for the day, vacations down in Florida, anonymous donations, a lobster dinner, although that one didn't get rave reviews.

Daneen Kowall, stepmother, "Before something like this happens, all you see is bad and you don't think too much good is around anymore, until something like this happens, and the outpouring of love is just.. . and from strangers." "No one has our day but God and for us to say, ya know what, let's count the days until we die, how about let's count the days we're living,"

You can offer support and encouragement to Devin and his family on Facebook at:

His big goal is 10,000 likes and as of last check, he was nearing 6000, more than half way there.
