WAYNESBORO, TN (WSMV) -

A suspect has been indicted in the death of a Nashville man who went missing more than four years ago.

Human remains found Friday in a rural area of Wayne County are believed to be those of Michael Wayne Parsley, of Nashville, who was reported missing April 20, 2009.

Investigators believe Parsley, 53, was murdered in west Nashville in the days prior to being reported missing.

The body was found Friday buried in a shallow grave on a property in rural Wayne County near the Perry County line, police said.

On Tuesday, the Davidson County Grand Jury returned an indictment against 46-year-old Paul Lloyd Davis II, of Nashville, who was already in custody on a drug charge.

Police said Davis and Parsley were acquaintances, and Davis is believed to have killed Parsley in an alley before transporting the body to Wayne County.

Bond for Davis is now set at $250,000.
