Jamie Helms has a piece of nearly 40-year-old mail and she's on a mission to find the recipient. It was addressed to a James R. Tapp of Hixson, TN in 1974 and holds important paperwork and photos of Tapp, a U.S. Army veteran.

Thirty-nine years ago, the world was quit different for many of us.

For some context, 1974 was the year U.S. President Richard Nixon resigned is presidency amid the Watergate scandal.

The Miami Dolphins won the Super Bowl, and popular songs were "Bennie And The Jets" by Elton John and "I Shot The Sheriff" by Eric Clapton.
