If you want to go on the newest tour of Nashville, be prepared to sweat. No bus, no trolley - this tour is just you, your running shoes and your guide.

"You are up before the city is up and moving," said Shelley Bankard-Weaver, owner of Nashville Running Tours.

Bankard-Weaver got the idea for Nashville Running Tours when she visited other cities with similar running programs.

For her, it's a great way for visitors to see the sights while not missing a beat in their workout.

And one year into the project, it's picking up speed.

"We have three different tours: East Nashville, we have a history tour that goes through downtown and also a music tour," Bankard-Weaver said.

Tours typically run three to four miles, but if you want a longer tour, just ask.

"We want everyone to feel comfortable with it, so the other tours we're developing will probably get some more people off their feet and with us some more. So, more to come," she said.

The guided tours run several times a day and cost $30. For more information, visit:
