(RNN) – Rumors are swirling that acting legend and Los Angeles Lakers courtside furniture Jack Nicholson has reportedly retired from the big screen.
According to Radar Online, the actor recently turned down a role in the upcoming film Nebraska, starring opposite SNL-alum Will Forte. At 76 years old, an insider told Radar "his memory isn't what it used to be" and he has no plans to return to the silver screen.
However, Maria Shriver confirmed to E!Online that those rumors are false, and Nicholson plans to keep on acting. E! said the actor is currently reading scripts, looking for a new project.
Hoffa (1992) – I bet Jack knows where Hoffa's body is …

TV/Film: ‘Sons of Anarchy' star picked as '50 Shades of Grey' leading man
Moms who are into erotic novels, rejoice – the main characters for the movie based on E.L. James' 50 Shades of Grey have been cast.
Actress Dakota Johnson – the daughter of actress Melanie Griffith and ‘80s icon Don Johnson – will play college student Anastasia Steele. She most recently was the star of the canceled FOX series Ben and Kate. As for Christian Grey, sorry fans of Matt Bomer, Ian Somerhalder, Robert Pattinson and Henry Cavill. A television star has been cast in the role of the older, mysterious Christian Grey - actor Charlie Hunnam. The film is set to hit theatres in 2014.
For those unaware of Hunnam, the Brit is currently the star of FX's popular Sons of Anarchy as biker Jax Teller. He was also the cute British guy in the short-lived Undeclared and Queer as Folk and starred in this summer's Pacific Rim.
The casting of Johnson and Hunnam received mixed reviews; some fans began protests and started petitions against the casting. A petition on change.org wanted the lusty pair to be cast as Matt Bomer and Alexis Bledel.
This is also a good time for TV lovers to start watching Sons of Anarchy – the new season starts Sept. 10 on FX and you can play catch-up on Netflix.
Want to get better acquainted with Hunnam? BuzzFeed offers a post to help.

A little something from YouTube: The best cover of ‘We Can't Stop' ever
I know, you're sick of her. And for your benefit, I am not even going to mention her name.
The raunchy singer's summer anthem We Can't Stop was vastly improved this week by people with talent, Postmodern Jukebox.
Things that made this rendition better: no singing with autotune, real musicians, soul-singing backup singers not shaking their groove thing and it was done with Motown vibe.
You know, things that actually remind you of good music.
