4 arrested in connection with carjacking, 2 suspects at large

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -

Chattanooga Police have arrested four people in connection with a carjacking and beating of a Chattanooga man.

A 35-year-old man says he was approached by two men and two women asking for a ride.

Once in the man's car, the four demanded the man drive to a home in East Lake. It is there where two other men ordered the victim to make two separate trips to the ATM, withdrawing money from his account. The two men were then dropped back off at the house with his cash in tow.

The two men and woman then told the victim to drive down I-24 to Tiftonia. Once there, the four beat and kicked the man, stole his wallet and his car and took off, leaving him near Aster Avenue. After regaining consciousness, he was able to get help.

The man was taken to the hospital. He has since been released, and is expected to be ok. His car has not been found. Police told the family it was most likely sold for parts.

Police arrested Amanda Forester, Amber Guffey, James Huckabee, and Shane Basler. They all face charges of kidnapping, robbery and theft. Huckabee and Basler face addition charges of assault.

The four were arrested following a brief chase.

Police are still looking for two more suspects in connection with this crime. One was was a black male in his 40's with a low top haircut. The other was a white male with a long gray beard. The suspect was possibly in his 50's.
