Good Tuesday. Here comes the heat and humidity!
Yesterday, we had a high of 86 with dew point values in the low 60s. Today will see a high of 90 with dew points in the upper 60s. Bottom line... we will be more hot and humid today, and it will only get worse through the week.
High pressure building to our south will start to push in some moisture from the gulf, and we will also see some moisture backing in from the east.
Wednesday, temps will continue to climb. I am forecasting 93 in Chattanooga (the normal high is 89).
We could even reach 95 on Thursday.
I don't expect any rain through Thursday. As we head into the Labor Day weekend, however, expect one or two storms to pop up each afternoon Friday through Monday.
