HENDERSONVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Police arrested a man in connection with a burglary attempt that was caught on a surveillance camera.

Chris Bradshaw, 27, of Lebanon, TN, was arrested over the weekend and charged in connection with two burglaries near Bluegrass Downs.

One burglary attempt in Bluegrass Downs was caught on surveillance video.

As the result of the cooperative effort from media outlets, Hendersonville police received information which led to Bradshaw's arrest. Bond was set for $10,000. His court date is set for Oct. 2.

Bradshaw attempted to break-in to one home that was occupied on Aug. 14.

The homeowner locked herself in her bedroom trying to hide from the man trying to break into her home.

The suspect knocked on the front door and rang the bell. When no one answered, he went around to the back door and tried to kick the door open.

The suspect kicked the door at least eight times before the door opened. The burglar alarm sounded and spooked him off.

The homeowner had also called the police.

Police said the homeowner did everything right.

"A lot of people want to be more proactive. Just call 911. It's an emergency," said Hendersonville Police Detective Seneca Smith. "Lock yourself somewhere safe, call the police and let the police get there and take care of the situation."
