Home invasion victim runs for help

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Two victims of a home invasion in south Nashville were forced to flee their home and run to a gas station for help Tuesday morning.

The couple was asleep at their Murfreesboro Pike apartment complex when two gunmen came through a sliding glass door.

The victim told police the gunmen ordered him and his girlfriend on the ground. At first he refused and that's when he said the gunmen started shooting at him.

The victims got on the ground and then they said the shooters robbed them and fled on foot.

As soon as the suspects were gone, the male victim ran to a nearby gas station near the apartment complex to call police.

Neither victims were shot, just some minor scrapes and bruises from the ordeal.

The descriptions of the gun men is vague. Both men were dressed head-to-toe in black. They were between 5'6" and 5'8" and appeared to be between 19 and 25 years old. One suspect was thin while the other had a slightly heavier build.
