An 18-year-old man was killed after he crashed his car following a police pursuit, authorities said.
According to a report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Brian N. Grimm Jr., 18, was traveling southbound on County Highway 1781 (Waverly Road) while attempting to flee from a Houston County Sheriff's deputy.
Grimm went off the right side of the roadway, striking a tree and overturning down a 100-foot embankment. Grimm was ejected from the vehicle.
Preliminary information from the THP indicated the wreck occurred either Saturday night or early Sunday morning.
The THP responded to the scene on Sunday around 7 p.m.
