FRANKLIN, Tenn. (AP) - Former Tennessee Titans running back Jamie Harper faces a domestic assault charge after police say he struck his former girlfriend, picked her up and threw her.
A Franklin police report says when Harper's ex-girlfriend said Saturday she wouldn't be returning to their home, Harper opened his car and threw her clothes into her hotel room. Police say Harper struck her on the lip with the palm of his hand, and that he picked her up and threw her multiple times.
Harper was released Sunday from Williamson County Jail on $2,500 bond.
Harper, a fourth-round draft pick from Clemson in 2011, was waived in May. Harper had 36 carries for 74 yards and four touchdowns plus five catches for 40 yards in two seasons with the Titans.
