Renovations have begun at a landmark location in Nashville that's home to one of the city's most well-known recording companies.
The Tennessean reports the new owner of the Acuff-Rose building has begun extensive interior and exterior work on the building.
Nashville-based Legacy Instruction Media purchased the structure last year and CEO Grabriel Smith says the alterations will add modern touches but keep the historic character.
Acuff-Rose was founded in 1942 by Roy Acuff and Fred Rose and produced several classic county songs such as "Oh Pretty Woman," "Your Cheatin' Heart" and "Tennessee Waltz."
Legacy Instruction Media makes and distributes instructional videos.
