Chef Paulette's Ice Cream with Sweet Balsamic Strawberries & Chocolate-Espresso Sauce

Serves 4

1 pint ice cream

2 cups sliced strawberries

6-8 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

¼ cup sugar or to taste

 ¼ lb bittersweet chocolate

½ cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon instant espresso coffee powder

For the Strawberries:

Place sliced strawberries in a medium mixing bowl. Add balsamic vinegar and let macerate for about 30 minutes-to 1 hour. Add sugar and stir to combine.

For the Chocolate Sauce:

Melt the chocolate and cream in a heavy saucepan until combined, whisk in the coffee.

Scoop a serving of ice cream in a small bowl. Place a spoonful of strawberries on top. Drizzle with chocolate sauce.
