A one-of-a-kind fashion show coming up this weekend will feature models of the four-legged variety.
Anyone with a pet knows they can cost a lot of money to care for, so one local animal rescue is leaning on some "glitter and glam" to help cover those costs.
When animals are abandoned, Agape Animal Rescue steps in. The organization helps to find foster homes for dogs until a responsible "forever home" can be found, and it counts on donations from the community to stay afloat.
"This one fundraiser for the year helps the organization get through the year," said volunteer Kori Jean Olsen.
The annual Glitter and Glam fashion show is set for Sunday at the Hutton Hotel.
"The dogs are going to be strutting their stuff on the runway this year," Olsen said.
Everyone who buys a ticket will help fund a new future for a homeless animal.
"Those little acts of service are what makes this organization to go around," Olsen said. "You can pay it forward and help us save some more lives."
Tickets to Glitter and Glam 2013, hosted by former American Idol contestant Kimberley Locke and country music singer Phoenix Stone, are still available. For more information, visit: http://glitterandglam.org.
