Titans training camp hasn't started yet, but a rookie is already having an impact in Middle Tennessee.
Linebacker Jonathan "Tig" Willard, who was signed as a free agent out of Clemson this spring, helped rescue a family from their burning car on Tuesday evening.
Willard was driving on Interstate 40 when he saw flames shooting from the car in front of him.
According to a Clemson sports website, he sped up and got them to pull over. He then helped the mom, kids and the family's dog out of the car.
A few moments later, the car was fully engulfed in flames.
Willard said the woman just kept thanking him. He said he was just happy everyone got out safely before the car was destroyed.
Willard led Clemson in tackles last season with 95, starting all of the team's 12 games.
