Good Wednesday. Expect another warm, humid day with highs near 90, and thunderstorms that could produce locally heavy rainfall this afternoon.
A weak disturbance will move through during the early afternoon that will tap into the heat of the day and the abundant surface moisture to produce some widespread storms that will dump some heavy rain on the Tennessee Valley. Locally, we could see up to an inch of rain between 2pm and 6pm today.
This evening, the storms will rapidly diminish and skies will clear overnight as light northerly winds behind the front will usher in slightly drier and cooler air for Thursday.
With the lower humidity, Thursday and Friday should be a pretty comfortable day with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies and highs in the upper 80s.
Another front will bring more showers and storms Overnight Friday into Saturday, but we will clear out again by Saturday night and Sunday.
