A former high school quarterback will spend a decade in prison after he violated his probation after admitting to sex crimes with a 12-year-old girl.

A Maury County judge sentenced Princeton Harlan to 10 years in prison Thursday.

That was the original sentence earlier this year, but a judge granted Harlan probation in exchange for pleading guilty to facilitation of child rape. He admitted to two sex acts with a 12-year-old girl.

While he was serving probation for that case, police arrested Harlan in June at a motel with a juvenile and in possession of packaged marijuana for resale.

Harlan was the star quarterback at Mt. Pleasant High School last year.  Police also identified him as a member of a street gang in the county.
