Driver killed in Coffee Co. crash; others hurt in separate wrecks

MANCHESTER, TN (WSMV) -

Three separate wrecks killed one person and injured others overnight in Middle Tennessee.

Authorities said a man died after his car hydroplaned on Interstate 24 and crashed into a tree in Coffee County.

The victim's name hasn't been released.

Second crash

The second wreck happened in Rutherford County on Burnt Knob Road just before 1 a.m. LifeFlight was called to the scene. The driver had to be extricated from the car.

Third wreck

A motorcyclist was injured after crashing their bike near Madison.

The crash occurred on Brick Church Pike near Briley Parkway.

Police said the rider was taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center with serious injuries.
