Titans have work to do to maintain sellout streak

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The Tennessee Titans have some work to do if they're going to continue their streak of 144 sellouts since moving to LP Field in 1999.

The Titans put single-game tickets on sale Friday morning and hadn't sold out any of their games by late in the afternoon. Don MacLachlan, the Titans' executive vice president of administration, says he's "very optimistic" the team eventually will sell out all eight home regular-season games and the two preseason home dates.

MacLachlan says fewer than 500 tickets remained for the Oct. 20 game with the San Francisco 49ers. About 1,000 tickets were left for the Sept. 22 date with San Diego and the Nov. 14 game with Indianapolis. Over 1,000 tickets remained for the other games.
