A Flood Warning continues this morning for the Tennessee River (the measurement is taken near the Aquarium), and South Chickamauga Creek.
We will fortunately not have much additional rain today. An isolated shower or storm may pop up here and there, but they will be few and far between. For the most part, we will be warm and humid with highs in the upper 80s, and the heat index in the low to mid 90s.
A front will approach Wednesday and Thursday, causing our rain chances to rise a bit. Wednesday, we could see some isolated showers or storms through the day as the front approaches.
Wednesday night into Thursday, I expect widespread showers and thunderstorms (some may become fairly strong) as the front moves through. We should see .50" to 1" of rain Thursday.
Behind the front, we will have nice weather Friday with a mix of sun and clouds and highs in the mid 80s.
Some moisture will return for the weekend, giving us once again, muggy weather with a slight chance of a storm or two each afternoon.
We are watching the path of TS Chantal as it may increase our rain chances a bit by the beginning of next week.
