Man beaten at Nashville bus stop

A man who was waiting at a Nashville bus stop was robbed and beaten on Saturday.

The victim is suffering from serious head injuries after the incident.

One person has been charged in connection to the incident. Police said the victim told them that 6 to 10 men attacked him at a bus stop on Lischley Avenue about 4:45 p.m. Saturday.

Police said Robert Adkerson, who has been arrested, and another man approached the victim to ask him if he wanted to buy drugs. After the victim refused, he said he was hit over the head and then a group of men appeared and began beating him and took his wallet.

The victim went to Skyline Medical Center with a head laceration and a skull fracture.

Adkerson was identified the day of the robbery in a photo lineup. Police are still looking for the other men involved.
