Twins stabbed during argument at Hendersonville home

HENDERSONVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Twin brothers were injured after an early-morning stabbing in Sumner County that stemmed from an argument.

Hendersonville police said the incident occurred at about 12:09 a.m. in the 110 block of Veebelt Drive.

Police said the twins had gotten into a fight at the home. One brother had assaulted the other brother as he slept, punching him in the face.

The brother who had been assaulted then went to his brother's room, where they began arguing again, said investigators.

During the argument, the brother who had assaulted the other earlier grabbed a beer bottle, broke it and attempted to stab the other.

The brother who had been assaulted earlier then grabbed a knife from the kitchen, and during the altercation, both brothers were injured.

The brother, who had assaulted his brother as he slept and had the broken beer bottle, was stabbed twice, once in the right shoulder and once to the upper chest.

The second brother received a cut to his wrist and a swollen jaw from the earlier assault.

Both brothers were taken to a hospital in Hendersonville by separate ambulances with non-life threatening injuries. They were both were treated and released.

Tyler McComb, 18, was arrested and charged with assault, aggravated assault and underage consumption.
