WWII B-29 among historic aircraft landing in Smyrna

An assortment of World War II military aircraft will arrive in Smyrna on Tuesday and be on display for the next six days.

A B-29 Superfortress bomber nicknamed "FiFi" will fly into the Smyrna Airport with an assortment of other military planes, including a P-51 Mustang.

The bomber first took flight in 1942 and is the last flying B-29 that saw action in World War II.

Tours cost is $10 per person and $20 per family. Cockpit tours of the bomber are included and will be available when the airplane is not in flight. Flights can be booked at www.AirPowerTour.org.

The historic planes will arrive at 2 p.m. Tuesday and be at the airport through July 6.
