CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -

Ruth's Chris Steakhouse held a grand opening of their new restaurant in Chattanooga with a "steak cutting ceremony."

The restaurant opened at the Embassy Suites Chattanooga on Lifestyle Way. In addition to the ceremony, the restaurant presented a check to the Siskin Children's Institute.

The restaurant held three nights of preview party events last Thursday, Friday and Saturday with proceeds coming back to the Institute.

They raised $16,120 for the institute.

Ruth's Chris Steak House was founded nearly 50 years ago by Ruth Fertel and continues to specialize in USDA Prime grade steaks served in the restaurant's signature fashion, "sizzling."
