A member of the Nashville Predators front office will play a major role in the Olympic hockey team.
General manager David Poile will be named GM for USA hockey on Saturday, according to a report in USA Today.
The announcement will come just before the NHL draft this weekend.
In this role, Poile will help select the team that will compete in Sochi, Russia, next year.
Team USA won a silver medal in 2010, losing to Canada at the Vancouver games.
Poile has been the Predators' GM since the team's inception.
