Southern Middle TN counties could see strong storms

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

There is a slight risk of severe thunderstorms for the far southern portions of Middle Tennessee on Friday. Nashville is not under the elevated risk.

A weak cold front will move across the region Friday and may cause some strong to severe thunderstorms over the southern counties.

Damaging straight line winds and large hail are the main threats.

There is a low chance of tornadoes and flooding.
