Nashville will be buzzing next spring with the next NCAA Women's Final Four coming to Bridgestone Arena.
Mayor Karl Dean and representatives from the Ohio Valley Conference, Nashville Sports Council and the NCAA held a press gathering Thursday to set the stage and unveil the event's logo.
Work on landing the Final Four started back in 2008, before plans for the new convention center were even finalized.
"It's going to be a great thing for the city in the sense that, economically, it's about $20 million going into our economy. I think it puts us on the map, events like this. And we're going to be able to handle it," Dean said.
"It was an easy decision to make, because we knew this city would come together and support it, and promote it in a way that is befitting to the student-athletes that will be here next April," said NCAA Vice President Anucha Browne.
The NCAA Women's Final Four is set to run April 6th to 8th.
