Sports festival set to be first Music City Center convention

Posted: Updated:

The brand new Music City Center is getting ready to host its first major convention this weekend.

Crews are busy getting the facility ready for the Music City Sports Festival, hosted by Nashville sports radio host George Plaster.

The event will feature a one-of-a-kind personal experience with sports celebrities, along with plenty of activities planned for the whole family to enjoy.

"We got something for everybody. It will be a terrific event. We're very excited about it and very appreciative to the city for allowing us to be the first in the building," said Plaster, who currently hosts a show on 102.5 FM.

The Music City Sports Festival runs Friday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are $5.
