LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

An interview with the survivor of the massive tornado in Moore, OK, on Monday quickly went viral.

Barbara Garcia, who lives in the suburb of Oklahoma City, was being interviewed by reporter Anna Werner during the CBS Evening News With Scott Pelley. In the video, posted on the news organization's website, she started by describing how she and her dog had taken refuge in a small bathroom.

Garcia goes on to describe how she felt the stool she was sitting on lift off the ground and then, in a moment, being surrounded by rubble.

About half-way through the interview, Garcia notices her dog in the rubble and digs the frightened pup out of the aftermath.

The video was quickly distributed across other popular websites like YouTube and Gawker.

Many people who have seen the video said that they began crying as they watched Garcia struggle to save her dog from the tornadic destruction.
