Heavy rains causing problems on the roadways

(WRCB) - The heavy rains took a toll on some of the roadways over the weekend.  Here is a list of roadways still experiencing some flooding or other issues caused by the weather.

Use caution as you go about your morning commute. You can also download the WRCB Traffic app to help you navigate the roads and look for any roadblocks. 

Chattooga:

Penbridge Road @ Alexander Drive - closed

Dry Creek Road @ Haywood Valley - closed

Dade:

Creek Road @ New England Rd- Located near the hang gliding landing field - closed /water over the road.

Marion:

Hwy 156 @ Ladd Mtn closed - it's underwater on the other side of the mountain.

Hwy 134 thru Whiteside on Marion side to Dade County - both bridges underwater.

Reporting really dense fog.

THP has activated fog zone lights.

Whitfield:

Hwy 41 @ at Whitfield/Catoosa county line closed

Nearby body of water overflowed and washed the dirt underneath the bridge away and took the northbound lane with it.

Divert to interstate or locally take Hwy 41 @ Tunnel Hill Church Street.
