Meth found inside toothbrush holder after traffic stop

COOKEVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Police said a woman's creative attempt to hide her illegal drugs didn't fool authorities.

Investigators said the suspect, Lori Smith, 45, of Cookeville, TN, hid methamphetamine in a toothbrush holder that was inside her car.

Smith was driving near Julia Drive and pulled over for a routine traffic stop.

When officers noticed she looked nervous, they searched the car. Four bags of methamphetamine were found in that toothbrush holder.

Smith had been arrested four other times for drug possession. She had a history of failing to show up to court and was on probation.
