CLIFTON, TN (WSMV) -

A mother, father and infant were killed in a Wayne County house fire early Tuesday morning.

The fire occurred on Beech Creek Road around 12:50 a.m., according to Wayne County Fire Chief Phillip Grissom.

When fire crews arrived, the home was fully engulfed, and while the cause remains undetermined, propane tanks near the home had ignited.

Ty Hooper, Elaine Hooper and 10-month-old Dillon Hooper died in the fire.

The home did not have running water but had electricity, said Grissom.

The father of the homeowner said he and his son had used materials from an old grocery store to construct the house.

"He was a good boy working, trying to take care of his family," said Ray Hooper, father of the homeowner.
