Four families were forced out of their homes Sunday night when a fire that was intentionally set ripped through a Hermitage apartment building.
Officers were called to the Green Leaf apartments on Old Hickory Boulevard around 11 p.m.
Officers said Krista Revels, 25, and her boyfriend were arguing when she told them he knocked her down. She said she then got angry and set their bed sheets on fire.
Smoke and flames quickly spread from their unit to adjoining apartments.
Crews were able to get the flames out quickly. No one was injured, but the apartments were damaged.
"We had four units affected. (The residents have) all been put in other units here on the property. Two (units) were affected by fire, and two had some water damage," said Nashville Fire Department Capt. Dennis Downey.
Revels is being held on a $125,000 bond. Her boyfriend was released after officers determined she lied about the assault.
Police said the couple had been drinking before the incident.
