PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A local musician has his trumpet back, a week after it was stolen in the Pearl District.

Caleb Denison accidentally left his trumpet on the sidewalk last Thursday while playing a gig at the Local Choice Food Market.

Surveillance video shows a man taking the Bach Stradivarius Model 37 trumpet.

A food cart owner said he saw a report about the theft Tuesday on FOX 12 and called the trumpet's owner.

The viewer reportedly owns the I (Heart) My Food Cart that the accused thief often stops by.

Denison went to that food cart and spotted the alleged thief, followed him to where the trumpet was located and then called police.

Officers detained the man at Fourth Avenue and Washington Street.

Police said Denison decided not to press charges.
