2 men found dead after crash into creek

HENDERSONVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A police officer with Hendersonville Police discovered a car had crashed into a creek, killing two men inside the vehicle.

According to a news release, officer Braxton Craig first discovered debris on the road surface of Saundersville Road behind Sam's Club around 4:28 a.m.

Upon checking the area beyond the debris, Craig found that a vehicle had left a roadway, knocked over a lamp pole and a small tree, continued over the edge of a hill and crashed into a creek.

Police said two men were inside the vehicle and were apparently deceased as a result of the crash.

Investigators are working to determine the cause of the wreck.

The names of the victims will be withheld until the family members are notified, police said.
