Strong winds, rain moving out of Middle TN

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

The National Weather Service has extended a wind advisory for Middle Tennessee until 6 a.m. Friday as a line of strong storms move through the area.

The National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center downgraded Middle Tennessee to a slight risk for severe storms, but sustained winds of 15-30 mph will occur most of the night with gusts up to 40 mph possible.

Most of the storms will be out of Middle Tennessee by Friday's morning commute to work.
