LINCOLN COUNTY, TN (WAFF) -

The Lincoln County Sheriff's Department is investigating a shooting that left three people dead.

Investigators responded to a shots fired call in the Windwood Subdivision early Sunday morning.

When deputies arrived at the scene they spoke with two people who said they were inside the home when a domestic argument broke out and gunshots were fired in a bedroom. The witnesses told deputies they ran out of the house after the shooting.

Deputies found the bodies of two men and a woman inside the home.

They have identified them as Jeff Faulkner, 50 of Fayetteville, his wife, Julaine Marie Faulkner, 38, of Fayetteville, and her brother, Ryan Dale Oetken, 33 of Cartersville, Georgia.

Investigators said Jeff Faulkner shot his wife and brother-in-law before turning the gun on himself.

The bodies have been sent to the state medical examiner for autopsy and positive identification.

The investigation is still ongoing.
