Single car crash sends two to the hospital

Posted: Updated:

Police are investigating a single car crash that sent two people to the hospital early Sunday morning.

Police say, a 40-year-old woman was driving on Cumberland Drive, lost control for an unknown reason, drove the vehicle off the right side of the road, and crashed into a retaining wall.

The female driver and male passenger weren't wearing their seatbelts, both were taken by life-flight to Vanderbilt.

The woman sustained leg and facial injuries, and the man had a chest injury.

Police don't if alcohol was a factor.
