2 inmates escape from West TN penitentiary

HENNING, TN (WSMV) -

A manhunt is under way in search of two prison inmates who escaped custody Monday.

Ashton Siler, 21, and Dustin Wayman, 20, took off from the minimum security annex of the West Tennessee State Penitentiary in Lauderdale County.

Siler is serving eight years for drug convictions in Madison County. Wayman was serving a two-year sentence for car burglary in Knox County.

Both inmates will face an additional five-year sentence once they are captured.
