A man in Murfreesboro is facing charges after a taxi driver was stabbed early Monday morning.

Police said the cab driver picked up a man near the Murfreesboro Motel, took him to the Blackman community and then back to the same motel.

The suspect, Ryan Yount, is accused of holding a knife to the neck of the cab driver, Nicholas Jackson Kennedy, 24, and eventually stabbing him twice.

Police said Yount stole $86 and said, "I have a daughter to support," as he ran from the scene.

Kennedy was taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center.

Yount was later found in a trailer park and arrested.  Police said he faces attempted murder and especially aggravated robbery charges.
