Bulger's Beat: Tattoo, Horror Fest takes over downtown Nashville

Posted: Updated:

It's often sporting events and concerts that take over downtown Nashville on weekends, but for the next few days, it will be zombies, horror movie characters and tattoos.

The 12th annual Full Moon Tattoo & Horror Festival at the Nashville Convention Center runs through Sunday, and it is sure to attract thousands of folks dressed in colorful - if sometimes gory - costumes.

Fans of the popular cable program The Walking Dead will wait for an autograph from actor Norman Reedus, while others will catch a glimpse of The Exorcist star Linda Blair.

Other attractions include a Ramen noodle-eating contest and musical entertainment.

Plus, more than 100 tattoo artists from around the world will apply their craft to the necks, backs and limbs of willing customers.

The festival is sponsored by Lone Wolf Body Art. Cost is $20 for a one-day ticket Friday and Saturday, $15 on Sunday or $45 for a 3-day pass.
