Motorists asked to be on lookout after shootings

PITTSFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) -

Authorities investigating what they say are three related shootings involving vehicles on southeast Michigan roadways say motorists should be on the lookout for anything suspicious.

The shootings happened between 5:40 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. Monday in Washtenaw County. Two were in Bridgewater Township and one was in Pittsfield Township, about 40 miles southwest of Detroit.

There were no injuries.

State and Pittsfield Township police say Thursday morning there's no new information to release about the investigation. The FBI said Wednesday that the agency is working with township, county, state and other federal authorities.

Last year, people in southeast Michigan were on alert after a series of shootings on and near Interstate 96. Raulie Casteel is jailed on attempted murder and other charges on accusations he fired on two dozen people.
